## Reflection: Student Communication Now let's Demonstrate! Can I prove mastery of additive inverse on a number line? - Section 3: Student Activity

Key for success???? What is an additive inverse.  The Learn Zillion video from the previous lesson truly helped students understand the meaning of additive inverse.  For these examples students struggled with positioning of the letters on the number line.  Once they understood visually what opposites were, they were able to complete the task at hand.  The key towards student understanding is knowing what additive inverse means.
