Reflection: Lesson Planning Compare/Contrast - Review Week Day 1 - Section 3: Independent Work

Why start my review with a short answer response?  This response gives me a nugget to begin our week long conversation.  The combination of high interest material and a brief response allows students to buy in and finish it in class today.  This will give me the chance to review it before tomorrow and determine the direction for our daily conversations.

I'm not a teacher who plans everything to the tee weeks out, I plan based on my students needs and sometimes this means planning for the next day the night before.  I have a short time left in the year and even less left when you consider that students are suffering from Spring fever, I need to capitalize on the time I have.
