Reflection: Student Self-Assessment Main Idea and Supporting Details in Digital Media - Section 3: Assessment


Students were honest in their assessment of themselves. If they are able to identify their own areas of improvement, they are more likely to be proactive in improving them. This enables them to set goals and focus on those areas for future work. For example, one of my special needs students recognized that he has a difficult time sitting still and listening. Reflecting on how well he did during this assignment will encourage him to attempt to exercise more self-control in the future.
