## Reflection: Intervention and Extension RTI Decomposing: Dice, Drawing and Explicit Instruction - Section 3: Differentiated practice to reinforce skills.

To try and meet the needs of all students is just a daunting task! But, technology is our friend! Today, IXL. com really helped me keep those advanced students working and growing while I focused on students that are having a hard time with the concept of what "whole" means. This wide gap between learners makes me think all the time about what I need to be doing to effectively make use of time. When quizzes come back showing me gaps in thinking and conceptual understanding, I have to plan my time, back track carefully and make sure others are advancing still. Whew! Today was exhausting, but I had felt that students had grown again, with the exception of two. There is a point sometimes that I have to say...well, I can't make this person understand yet. And that's so hard. But with Common Core, I am noticing that there is far less of that than there was in the past. This is good news!
