## Reflection: Adjustments to Practice Mini Golf Mystery - Using a Protractor - Section 2: Concept Development

As this lesson unfolded, I realized that I need to adjust my practice and set this lesson up differently in the future.  Students had a difficult time distinguishing which angle to measure when they drew the line that showed the path of their golf ball. Essentially they created a triangle and some students became very confused as to which of the three angles to measure. Most students were measuring the wrong angle initially. I stopped the lesson mid lesson and modeled the angles using the smartboard.  After this, some students were than able to self - correct, however others were not. I was disappointed that I wasn't explaining myself and the assignment clear enough for students, I was content that students were still getting lots of practice measuring and creating angles.

From observing students during this activity, I learned that most students are using the protractors correctly and obtaining accurate measurements.
