Reflection: Student Ownership Teach Me About Subtraction - Section 3: Presentation

I think presentation and celebration of students work is very important to a classroom culture. Instead of defining what 'good work' looks like, or only giving multiple choice question and answer assignment, I think it's important to allow students to create something that is a reflection of what they know and how they process the concept. In addition to allowing them to create something that shows what they know, the ability to explain their thinking is also important. When students defend their choices in a presentation or can answer questions by myself or their peers it shows a deeper understanding of the concept.
