Reflection: Student Ownership Benchmark Assessment - Section 1: Reflections


This reflection form is in the beginning stages.  As you can see by the student work samples the answers are very surface level.  However, they do provide insight into each of the students' thinking.  

Moving forward, I will assign part of the reflection when the pretest is assigned, student will have more insight about the questions at the time, also, they will have more data to use when reflecting on their growth. 

I am open to suggestions about how to make these reflections more meaningful for the students as well as the teachers who are using them.

Benchmark Assessment

Unit 5: Shapes & Their Attributes (Geometry)
Lesson 8 of 10

Objective: SWABT reflect on their progress over time.

Big Idea: Students take 4 benchmark tests each year. They complete a pre and post test for each benchmark. Students own their progress and performance through reflections.
