Reflection: Complex Tasks The Way I See It... A Multiple Perspectives Close Read - Section 1: Introduction


I gave the segregation text to a few students who finished early and found that this would've been a great way to differentiate the close reading for today. The two accounts presented in that text are different, but the first account isn't very strong, so it's hard to see his viewpoint. It's definitely more complex than the taxes passage I found on teachers pay teachers. Next year, I'm still not sure if I'll give students one or the other, or try it out like I did today and give the harder one to students who finish up early.
