Reflection: Real World Applications Poetry Introduction - Poetry Lesson 1 - Section 2: Lesson


If you follow me at all, you know that I am constantly trying to make connections between what we do in class and the real world.  One way to do that with this lesson is to (after showing the video at the beginning of the powerpoint) share the new iPad commercials with the same Walt Whitman quote clip from Dead Poets Society.  It is very cool for students to realize that they were hearing poetry when they saw the commercial last night or last week.
