Reflection: Real World Applications School Nurse - Section 1: Warm Up

The nurse was unable to visit my classroom this year.  She usually comes in and has a conversation about being healthy and washing our hands.  Everyone had a story to tell about the nurse helping them.  I was glad to hear how kind and gently they thought she is.  With everyone's story about the nurse, we learned that she can do many things.  So our discussion was information rich.  There were even stories of nurses at the hospital or at the doctor's office.  Those stories weren't so fun.  The lesson hit all the CCSS that were planned for.  Again, this was a pretty good lesson, but would have been over the top with a guest speaker.
