This unit on hurricanes had many different components. I wanted to create a unit assessment that would highlight the main points in each of the lessons, and at the same time, also allow my students to show what they know when writing and illustrating in Science. The assessment has eleven multiple choice questions ranging from vocabulary to general knowledge about hurricanes. The essay questions require students to think about what they have learned and use it to explain the phenomena. I also included a question where they have to draw and label at least three parts of a hurricane allowing for differentiation leaving the choice of the three items up to the student.
