Assessment

This is an open book assessment for "Greek Myths" as retold by Heather Amery.  We have read this book as part of our Greek Mythology unit.  For this assessment I have chosen to let the students work on the test with an open book. In our state, the new common core assessments require the students to be able to pull information from the text to submit their answers. I feel it is important for the students to be able to practice finding answers within the text to support their answers.

For this assessment, I had the students write the questions.  I used some of their questions and added a few of my own.  The students love to see their own questions on the test.  They are more excited to take a test they had a hand in creating.
