SWBAT: use their understanding of using evidence to support their claims in playing the board game, Clue!

Big Idea

In a nice summative activity for the unit, students can lay the smack down on some CLUE!

The kids loved this lesson, to say the least. I sent out an email to all staff, asking if they had a copy of the game at home. All versions seemed to be a little different, but that didn't really matter. The main point was that students could make a claim and support it with evidence. If you've ever played the game, you know that there is one "suspect," one weapon, and one location of the crime. They students use the score sheet as their evidence to support their claim: "It was Colonel Mustard in the library with the rope."
