To open class today, I will display the latest post on my blog which contains each selfie taken on day one, and I'll ask students to login and go to the page as well.
Initially, this is big fun because everyone is seeing everyone else's pictures, but there is a point to it all. Putting the selfie on my blog allows students to create a tag and add it to their thinglink.
On the SMART board, I'll walk students through adding their selfie to their thinglink. It is important that students click on their picture to enlarge it/go the image only page and use that link. If this is not done correctly it will not display as an image when a viewer hovers over the tag.
Next, I'll walk students through adding a "How do I get my own copy of the book?" tag. Again, if this is not done correctly it will not show up as an image when a viewer hovers over the tag.
Class is shortened again today, but by the end of our time everyone should have their selfie and a "how to buy" tag on their image. So, I'll display our channel and as a class we'll check ourselves- especially ensuring that images are showing when we hover over the tag.
