I begin this lesson, by explaining to my scholars that they may have more than one career in their lifetime. The goal of today's lesson is to expose them to various careers, the education requirements, and duties and responsibilities of those careers. We will do this by playing a Jeopardy-inspired game - Career Jeopardy!
I divide students into two teams to play Career Jeopardy. I like the use of a Jeopardy-inspired game as a means of allowing my students to explore various careers. From the game, they see the different types of educational requirements that exist for different types of careers. Hopefully, playing this game will help students begin to set some personal goals relative to their pursuit of college and careers. Members of the game's winning team get a small treat.

We close the lesson with students sharing a different career of interest than was their first career choice, a career of interest based on the information they learned during Career Jeopardy.
