Objective

SWBAT analyze sources for credibility

Big Idea

You can't believe everything you read. Heck, maybe even this assessment is fake.

Assessment Time

60 minutes

Today the students will receive a formative with two passages. The task is to simply read each passage and decide which is a more credible source. I expect to see annotations on my kids' passages and they must include 3 relevant reasons why the chose one over the other in terms of credibility. 

While the students are working, I'll be checking some interactive notebooks to be sure students are on the right track. 

I know this is probably a task that my class will still struggle with, but I'm at least hoping they can tell me that example B seems invalid and doesn't have any facts, figures or research from reputable sources.
