Big Idea

Using Google Docs to Collaborate Creatively.

Warm Up

5 minutes

To open class today, I will display the list of guidelines we created yesterday.  I'll ask students to review the list as a group and look back to see what they need to accomplish today.


10 minutes

To begin class today, I'll ask students to get out the handout I gave them early in this unit where we labeled the script.  We'll review again the parts of the script and discuss how their script sections should be put together.

I will put a few example pieces up on the screen (having them on google docs makes this easy) to critique as a few from yesterday have made structural errors in their script.

Independent Work

35 minutes

The rest of class today is work time for groups.  Performance day is on Friday, so they need uninterrupted work time.

I'll ask students to get logged into their google page and start based on what they need to get accomplished while I facilitate and answer any questions.

Wrap Up

5 minutes

To wrap up class today, I will ask students to do a status check to determine what they have accomplished and still need to do for tomorrow. 

I will ask each table to report out and share progress.
