Learning Target: After completion of the opener, I will address the day’s learning targets to the students. For today’s lesson, the intended target is “I can set up equations using angle relationships in order to solve for missing values."
Spinner Game (Smartboard Spinner Game) Today students are going to work in their table groups to play the "spinner game." The questions included in the game are a variety of equations meet angles problems. Each table will have a white board and they must show all their work for solving for the variable and/or the angle measure (once they are really good with solving for x, I like to work on plugging it back in and solving for the entire angle measure). Tables that solve the problem correctly will get the chance to spin the spinner for points, candy or stamps. The winning table at the end of the game will get an additional prize.
