Do Now: Learning Reflection and Work Habits

10 minutes

Students start the day by completing our biweekly learning reflection and work habits, explained in this lesson.


20 minutes

After work habits and learning reflection, students move into groups to discuss their reading for today. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes clear that many students are not prepared.


15 minutes

I again give students time to read, knowing that many students won't read at home if they aren't engaged or at least nearly done from reading in class. Students get comfortable and push further into their novels.
