Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for being so brave in putting "your stuff" out there :) I think it is 3 pages long, but I could only view page 1.

I am Kristin Anderson of Winnacunnet HS (Hampton, NH). If you have the time, I am doing a bit of research about Common Core Assessments. My question to you is "do you score this assessment for 'competency based grading?'" If so, how?

For 5 years, we are dabbling in competency based grading, but aren't truly there yet. AND, in light of the emergence of the Common Core, we will be expected to blend the two. In this test (Exponential Functions Unit Test), I see you have referenced 3 areas/competencies of the common core, Number and Quantity, Algebra and Functions. Will you be assigning a score for each area/competency OR one score in the dominant area/competency?

Sincerely,

Kristin
