SWBAT solve profit maximization problems using multiple methods and to describe their methods using academic vocabulary.

Now that students have had two days to think about these problems, ask them to think about the problems in another way to really deepen their understanding.

These sentence starters should get students talking! I actually cut them onto strips and hand each pair of students an envelope with all the sentences in there. I find that making them into a simple manipulative (and setting it up so that students only need to look at 1 sentence at a time) makes the task somehow less daunting and more engaging for students.

I ask students to complete as many of the sentences as they can in 10 minutes. I circulate and try to push students to improve their answers.
