Objective: SWBAT identify nonfiction text features and describe how they help them comprehend nonfiction texts.
Today's assessment is the exact same assessment as the preassessment. In trying to collect data for our teacher based teams, we use short cycle assessments. We use the same assessment for pre and post so we can compare "apples" to "apples".
In creating this assessment, I wanted to see if students could not only identify the nonfiction text features and their functions but could they actually explain how the features help them comprehend nonfiction texts.
