In this lesson, students build upon the previous lesson in which they wrote the dialogue of a Kerpoof narrative. They had a choice of 3 different topic scenarios for their narrative (see attachment). They will actually type their dialogue into the computer program, Kerpoof in this lesson and create a comic strip narrative.
Students spent the majority of the class period working with their partner to designing their comic strip, selecting characters and setting, and typing their dialogue. I circulated around the class providing feedback to students as they developed their stories. (Teacher will need to use a class email account for Kerpoof to approve student accounts in order that students may save their work.)
To close the lesson, I put the narratives of those students who had completed their Kerpoof stories on the Smartboard for the whole class to view and read.
