Before any exam, I go over the study guide with the students. First, I let the students parnter up to check work. Then, I answer any questions the students might have to eliminate any final misconceptions before we begin the exam.
The assessments we use are district created. I've attached some sample questions from this assessment to show you the alignment to the common core strand on Geometry
I always try to have something for the students to do after an assessment. I use Sukoku's, logic puzzles, or mini projects to keep them busy and quiet. Each student deserves the time to work in a peaceful environment needed for learning.
