I include **Warm ups** with a **Rubric** as part of my daily routine. My goal is to allow students to work on **Math Practice 3** each day. Grouping students into homogeneous pairs provides an opportunity for appropriately differentiated math conversations. The Video Narrative explains this lesson’s Warm Up- Trigonometric Functions Review Day 2 which asks students to the potential quadrants of an angle with a negative sine.

I also use this time to correct and record the previous day's Homework.

For an exit ticket, ask the students to list those concepts they will be practicing in preparation for the test.

Early in the year, I offered specific lists of practice problems based on the practice test. By now, they know to look back to their old assignments or even the review to find practice problems. I encourage them to take a single problem and practice it over and over again until they can complete it from start to finish without getting stuck or having to look at their notes. If they can then solve a similar problem with no issues then they are prepared. If not, then they should practice that problem in the same manner. I don't this practice a graded assignment as each student will have different goals but I have offered extra credit for those who turn it in on the day of the test.
