YWBAT: 1) Identify the parts of transverse waves 2) Explain the relationship between wavelength and wave frequency 3) Apply your understanding of frequency to explain the organization of the EM Spectrum

This webquest should be completed after you have done several lessons on the basics of waves and EM Spectrum. Students will love the infrared radiation imagery and will appreciate not listening to you discuss waves and EM for yet another day. <br>There is also potential to use the UV indices to create a data-driven investigation on UV exposure. More to come on that later. <br> <br>YWBAT: Analyze infrared photography to determine how heat transfer occurs. <br>YWBAT: Explain how UV radiation can affect human health. <br>YWBAT: Analyze NOAA UV indices to determine how latitude, seasons and UV exposure are related.

YWBAT: 1) Analyze a net energy graph to determine what happens to energy when it it used to do work or cause change.

YWBAT: 1) State, explain and give examples of single and multiple energy transformation. 2) Examine the energy transformations in a device that you use everyday.

YWBAT: 1) Build a foam tube roller coaster that gets a marble to successfully go around one loop and slowly drop into a cup

YWBAT: 1) Observe the Green Lantern roller coaster to determine the level of excitement and size of loops and hills during the beginning (after drop), middle and end of ride. 2) Cooperatively design and construct a giant roller coaster using foam insulation and a marble.
