SWBAT work in small groups to create their own RULES SONG for the music classroom to the melody of TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR.

Jingle Writing Class

SWBAT to write the lyrics to their own jingle to gain a greater understanding of how songwriting is used to influence their decisions as a consumer.

Writing Music Essays U2 L1-

SWBAT to categorize describing words into different categories of music terminology - melody, harmony, rhythm, tonal color, dynamics, tempo, and texture. SWBAT write a reflective essay which includes music facts on a piece of Dominican Music that they will listen using a Music Listening Rubric as a guide. CC.5.W.1 Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons and information. CC.5.W.2.b Develop the topic with facts, definitions, concrete details, quotations, or other information and examples related to the topic.

Amadeus Movie Study L1

SWBAT to watch the first part of Amadeus and answer the questions that are listed on the accompanying study guide sheet. LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE-Students will use complete sentences to ask and answer questions about the movie or the questions on the answer sheet.
