Project Packet for Students Resources: 2

This packet walks students through each stage of the project, which is broken into assignments as a scaffolding measure for kids who are not used to managing their own time. The checklist is their "home base" to keep track of what is done and what needs to be worked on.

Resources for Students Resources: 7

These are resources for students to complete assignments and research their ideas, in addition to those listed on my blog here: http://msanke.blogspot.com/2011/01/create-and-run-country.html

Extensions: Challenges Resources: 17

These four challenges push students to make difficult decisions about how to run their country. These can be used to make the project longer, or to give high-functioning students more to do.

486
Evaluation Rubrics Resources: 3

Students are evaluated on a 4 point scale for each standard to be learned during the project. Students also have the opportunity to rate their experience of the project on the same scale. Teachers can use this in collaborative meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and use this data to inform planning and execution of the next project.
