Unit Description

The following unit explores the cultural, economic, and political environment of post-war America until the end of the end of the Cold War in the late '80s. The development of the Cold War and its subsequent "battles" is one theme of the unit. Another theme presented in the unit is the rise and accomplishments of the Civil Rights Movement. Both themes are broad and good for students who are being exposed to the subjects for the first time.
