Lesson Plan

The Schengen Visa requires each traveller entering the European Union to present a passport and visa at the border of that country. Travelers are required to carry their travel documents and travel documentation in their possession.

Visitors who do not have a passport, which does not meet the Schengen Visa requirements must obtain a copy of the global entry second passport before entering the Schengen area. Persons traveling on a business trip will need to notify their respective company by phone prior to departure to have a copy of their passport or other travel documentation prepared and available for issuance upon arrival. Otherwise, the business office can prepare a passport for the traveller.

Passport photographs must be available upon arrival at the port of entry. Visitors who do not have their photographs available upon arrival will need to fax or mail their passport or other travel documentation. If necessary, travellers should advise their travel agent to provide copies of their passports for review prior to issuance. Visitors who fail to comply with this rule may be denied entry to the Schengen area.

Visitors traveling with children must follow the same passport and visa requirements for both adults and children. Each adult must carry a valid passport and visa while traveling with children. The children must have proof of their status as a legal resident, such as birth certificates. All children must carry their passport and visa.

Children traveling with an adult will be subject to more stringent visa restrictions than adults traveling alone. Children should avoid traveling unaccompanied without traveling companions.

There are additional for the golden visa europe applicable to visitors from certain countries. In particular, the United States Department of State or Department of Homeland Security have designated certain countries as being places of concern for terrorism and that an American citizen may not enter unless they hold a valid visa. Persons entering the United States to visit family members who are from these countries should take extra precaution when traveling to the United States by car or airplane.

Generally, most tourist and business visas have no visa requirements for citizens of the European Union. Some countries require citizens of the European Union to meet visa requirements. If you plan to travel to one of these countries, you should call your travel agency to find out if you need to have a visa to enter that country.

If you do not meet visa requirements, you will be unable to enter the Schengen Area. However, there are exceptions to this rule. For example, the United States Department of State has designated Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria as places of concern for terrorist activity, and persons traveling to those countries must meet visa requirements to enter the United States.
