Lesson Objective
Students will be able to use explicit information to answer questions about a fiction text.
Lesson Plan
(I) will read questions aloud from a chart (example A is provided) that asks explicit questions about information in Freckle Juice by Judy Blume. I will read Chapter 1 of Freckle Juice aloud, stopping to answer the questions about the text.
(We) will review explicit questions about information from Chapter 2 (example B is provided). We will listen as I read Chapter 2 aloud, stopping to answer the questions on the chart together.
(You) will read Chapters 3, 4, and 5 independently and answer the questions on the question sheet. (Independent Practice is provided.)
