LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE-SWBAT to verbally identify what makes a  rhythm either easy or hard to play in relation to the speed of the beat.

 Recognizing the difference between quarter notes and quarter rests and how to notate the difference on a beat matrix.


Notating hand patterns on a rhythm

Tapping foot to keep track of the beat and play the correct rhythm

  Small group instrument playing

 

HW-students will cirble the beat matrixes of 3 exercises from Essential Elements and practice the rhythms using correct hand patterns.
