Lesson: Go Back and Highlight where you find your Answer!
Good test takers go back into the passage and highlight where they find the answer to their question.
Connection: when you want to try your best to go back and find the answers in the text.
Teach: Today I want you to look at this test like I am going to take it. Watch me as I read the question first and then I find my answer in the test book then I highlight it , and then I choose the right answer.
Model: Watch me as I read the question first and then I find my answer in the test book then I highlight it and then I choose the right answer.
Link: So today and every day make sure you are going back into the text and finding your answers.
Independent Work: Readers go back to their seats and complete a test prep test. They do one together and then one as a whole. You then group students with a a to z book. They are going to go in the book and write 4 facts and 4 untrue facts on sentence strips. They then finish and rotate in groups to figure out if fakes are real or fake.
