Introduce Meter and Time Signatures and Essential Elements Curriculum

Objectives

 

Students will be able to understand the meaning of the two numbers of the time signature and play a quarter note rhythm on their body and on instruments that shows they understands the concept.

LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE-Students will be able to verbally compare two different time signatures using words "strong beats" and "weak beats"

How to find a time signature in a piece of music and the meaning of the upper and lower numbers.
