Introduction to reading and writing music notation and playing on the glockenspiel

Students will be able to read and write half notes and whole notes on the G line and the B line of the treble staff
LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE-Students will be able to verbalize how different challenges that go along with reading and playing an instrument at the same time and use correct language when asking for verification from the teacher.

Did the students write an 8 beat rhythm using whole notes and half notes on a piece of paper?

Students will 1-decide on what pattern of half notes and whole notes they should use on their beat matrix equalling 8 beats
2- Decide on whether to use pitch G or B on each part of the pattern.
3-Draw the note indicateing half or whole note and G or B on the page
4-Play the pattern on a glockenspiel.
