Course: Literary Analysis
Students learn through various examples, Disney and non-Disney alike,how to write a literary analysis paragraph, including the following parts: -Assertion: Thesis statement -Explanation: what a reader needs to know about my citation -Citation: Specific examples or quotes from the text which support my assertion -Interpretation: Linking the citation back to the assertion -Reassertion

Poetry and Norman Rockwell cartoons are used, giving students a chance to locate support for an assertion and introduce them to the ideas needed to write a literary analysis paragraph.
