Ever since I was a little girl I loved the outdoors and anything to do with science! Most summer days you would see me outside playing in the dirt or collecting some sort of critter. I'm happy to say I have not changed that much, still admiring nature through photography, gardening and hiking. I have taken my passion of life to my classroom for the past 30 years...trying to get kids as excited about learning as I have always been!
I have a dual bachelor's degree in special and elementary education. I also have a master's degree in curriculum design and I have earned my gifted certificate. So I pretty much have covered the vast array of diverse learners. I have taught children with learning disabilities, multiage first/second and now second grade. I love integrating the new common core and the NGSS for an encompassing learning experience.
