I am a product of Broward County Public Schools. I come from a family of educators, doctors, and nurses. I have been an educator since 1990. I have taught high school English and reading, and middle school reading. I have served as an English Education professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa and Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State Teachers College) in New Jersey, and as a district director and curriculum administrator for Broward County Public Schools. I have presented at local, state, and national conferences in English Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I have published in professional journals and books.
