About Elizabeth
I started teaching as a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin. From West Africa, I moved to the Navajo Nation in rural Arizona where I taught 8th grade English. Now, I work as both a teacher and an instructional coach at a large urban high school. The heterogeneous student population inspires the content of my classes and enriches the discussions. I enjoy helping my students to discover the diversity within their community. My students engage in project-based learning that includes community service learning projects. My interests outside of school include distance running, triathlon, and I am a beginning potter.
