My first teaching job was at Leupp Public School on the Navajo reservation, where I was the seventh and eighth grade English teacher for three years. I then moved to Sinagua High School and taught ninth and tenth grades for two years, including some of my students from Leupp Public School. I have been teaching at Sinagua Middle School since 2009 as an English teacher to my favorite grade, seventh. I love watching them discover themselves through literature and writing. I love watching them grown from kids into young adults as they try to figure out how they fit into the world around them. Most importantly, I love them and I appreciate the lessons they teach me every day.
