Regan is a teacher, mother, and animal lover. She came to Tennessee from Eastern Kentucky, because she loves Walking Horses. She began working with the Great Strides Therapeutic Horse Riding Program in 2002. Then she worked with the University of Tennessee Extension Service for five years. This program brought the opportunity to work with the Juan Pablo Play Group, which changed her life. Regan brought animals monthly to meet with Hispanic mothers and their pre-school children. She fell in love with working with small children. This brought her to her most recent occupation, teaching first grade at Learning Way Elementary School. Her class is an inclusion class and she requested to loop with the class to second grade. This is a Title 1 School with a high minority population. She loves children and believes all children can learn.
Regan holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is pursuing a Educational Specialist Degree from Tennessee Tech University. She has worked on the Interview Committee, School Wide Positive Behavior Committee, and the Common Core Map Team.
