About Caitlin
Bio
Caitlin Chiller grew up in Seattle, Washington and Hot Springs, South Dakota. She received her bachelor’s in English Literature from San Francisco State University in 2007 and a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University in 2011. She has taught for five years; three on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in northeastern Montana. She teaches six classes of English/language arts at Simms School. She is currently the editor of Signatures from Big Sky, Montana’s statewide K-12 literary and arts magazine. Ms. Chiller has travelled and lived extensively throughout the U.S. and travelled to Europe, Mexico, Japan, and India. She currently teaches middle school and high school English to a range of students, grades 7-12, ages 12-19. She is actively involved in student council and student leadership, organizing student activities and academic events. Ms. Chiller hopes to continue the cross-cultural exchange she and her students began last year with students in Japan; exchanging ideas about peace and sustainability between students in India and Montana.
