I am a New Zealand citizen residing here in the United States.
I have been working for the St. Mary's County Public School system for 12 years. I am currently teaching kindergarten at the Chesapeake Public Charter School.
I enjoy teaching this age group as they are full of the wonder of the world. I use this wonder to teach foundational skills to make them into successful life long learners. Science is the main focus in my classroom; especially environmental science. I have found this medium to be the most successful way to engage my students and foster their desire to learn more.
I have lived in Washington D.C (2 years), Ventura, CA (5 and a half years) and California, MD (16 years).
In my spare time I like to hike, camp, kayak, walk my dogs, knit, sew, and read.
