Big Idea:In this lesson, students will learn about the Roller Coaster Engineering Challenge, such as the constraints and criteria for success. Students will also begin building supports for their marble roller coaster model.
Big Idea:In this lesson, students will following the Scientific Method steps to investigate which will fall to the floor at a faster rate: a piece of paper or the same piece of paper crumpled into a ball.
Big Idea:Using the Science and Engineering processes, students will research and design the best way to drop a raw egg. They will design a container to hold the egg that will prevent the egg from breaking.
Big Idea:In this lesson, students will learn how to construct funnels and half-pipes. Then, students will experiment with different ways to successfully attach their tracks, funnels, and half-pipes in their roller coaster prototypes.
