Aug. 2026: CSA Education, a market-leading K-12 curriculum development and alignment organization, today launched BetterLesson Learning, a single, integrated organization built to serve as the primary district-facing partner from curriculum development through classroom practice. BetterLesson Learning brings together CSA Education’s curriculum expertise with BetterLesson, the teacher coaching company CSA acquired through a structured asset sale earlier this year, alongside capabilities from CSA brands Zia Learning and Digital Flex Education. It gives school districts one unified partner for three essential needs that usually require separate vendors: high-quality curriculum, expert coaching and professional learning that make it work in classrooms, and the implementation data to see whether it is working.

May 2024: BetterLesson earns ESSA Level 3 certification – Promising Evidence – substantiating the effectiveness of BetterLesson’s high-quality professional learning (HQPL) in positively influencing both student and teacher outcomes required under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for federal funding and stimulus dollar allocation.
March 2024: BetterLesson and Family Engagement Lab partner to boost student engagement and outcomes.
February 2024: BetterLesson and Kiddom partner to deliver high-quality instructional materials to K-12 schools.
January 2024: BetterLesson is recognized as one of the best remote-first tech workplaces of 2024 by Purpose Jobs.
November 2023: Teach for America and BetterLesson partner to support 3,500 TFA educators, delivering coaching and instructional resources to teachers in the TFA program.
August 2023: BetterLesson is featured as one of the “65 Edtech Companies Transforming the Way We Teach in 2023” by WeAreTeachers.
June 2023: BetterLesson earns ESSA Level 4 certification – Demonstrates a Rationale – for its alignment to the level of evidence-based interventions required under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for federal funding and stimulus dollar allocation.
February 2023: Kikori and BetterLesson partner to provide educators with self-directed SEL professional learning opportunities that incorporate the activities and tools created by Kikori.
January 2023: In partnership with OpenUp Resources, BetterLesson supported the implementation of EL Education at Murfreesboro City Schools and improved student literacy skills across the district.
