BioI am so blessed to have been able to participate in the Master Teacher Project. I have learned and grown so much as a teacher, a student, and as a person during the creation, collection, and reflection on or of these materials and resources. I also continue to grow and learn by communicating with teachers from throughout the country and beyond about their experiences and feelings about the lessons and materials. The best thing about this project is that it is ever changing and provides a platform for amazing collaboration among us all. Throughout the project, I was working as an 8th grade ELA teacher and department chair at Hillcrest Middle School in the Deer Valley Unified School District. I have since shifted gears a bit and have moved over to Boulder Creek High School in the DVUSD where I work with 10th and 11th grade students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with my focus in English, and a theater minor. I also hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I aspire to beginning a Doctoral program in the near future as well.
