I love the "I Have, Who Has" game, and my students really respond to it. Here is the Rip Van Winkle Vocab that I pulled out of the text. I kind of struggled with words that they need to know, and words they might never see again. There are so many words out there that my students don't know, so I try to stay away from words that will have no meaning beyond this one, particular text. However, it's important they understand these words to make meaning out of the text.

For the performance of Rip Van Winkle, students spend some time choosing parts and familiarizing themselves with their part. They should read it several times before they perform it. If I had it to do over again, I would make it a two-day lesson and have them take the script home and practice.
