## Objective: Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of polynomial, exponential and logarithmic expressions and equations.

## Big Idea: Five in a row for the win! Students compete while reviewing concepts from polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic expressions and equations.

#### Warm Up

I include **Warm ups** with a Rubric as part of my daily routine. My goal is to allow students to work on **Math Practice 3** each day. Grouping students into homogeneous pairs provides an opportunity for appropriately differentiated math conversations. This lesson’s Warm Up- Bingo Review asks students find two polynomial equations who both have the factor x - 2. It has been several months since the students have worked with polynomials so the goal of this warm up is to re-access that information in preparation for today's review.

#### Review Bingo

Bingo is my favorite review game. It motivates each student to try each problem more than any other game that I have attempted. The goal for this game is for the students to review many of the important skills learned in this semester. I have randomized the order of the problems as this forces students to really think about each problem rather than follow the previous one (**Math Practice 1**).

The game board has all of the answers for the students to write on their game board. Since there are 32 problems and 25 spots, I tell the students to be careful not to just pick the first 25. I insist that they write each problem down to turn in for points at the end of the class.

Often I will give extra credit points to the first one or two people to get bingo. Then I move to two bingos, and then three.

This review was created using Kuta Software. I love this program and would highly recommend it to any mathematics teacher.
