Reflection: Intervention and Extension Comprehending with Cause and Effect - Section 3: Writing the Cause and Effect Relationships

If they appear to still not quite understand, I have write another sentence and have them copy it onto their white board. I then have each of them try to circle the cause and underline the effect. I then ask the class to show me to see if they understood.

I continue to play this until I feel more confident in their understanding. This same activity could be done with a small group of students who are struggling with the concept. The smaller group might allow them to ask more questions and receive more constructive feedback to help them understand.
