Reflection: Rigor Elmer 2 of 2 - Section 3: Writing activity

Today I had the students write one sentence by themselves with no modeling.  Their sentences were short but pretty accurate.  The CCSS expects the students to write papers that follow correct English grammar and conventions.  It was fun to see them reminding each other about the period.  I liked seeing my students have fun with the art part of this writing activity.  Writing doesn't seem like such a difficult task when it is paired with a fun art piece.
